Businesses Want Apple iPad, Too

http://www.businessweek.com/technology/content/mar2010/tc20100326_073914.htm

The apple iPad is not only for entertainment, it is used for business. You can use this computer for checking emails on the go and taking notes while at work. More than half of mobile-phone users surveyed recently by Zogby International said they would use a tablet device such as the iPad for working outside the office. Apple has created an iPad version of many applications for business such as spreadsheets, presentations, and word processing applications.

  1. That's convinient you can use it for work and at home. As long as those people are playing around on the ipads at works ;)

  2. The ability to check emails, the ability to surf the web, spreadsheet software... are we talking about a laptop? Or a Blackberry? Or an Iphone? No, this article is talking about the Ipad.
It is great that the Ipad is being released with a lot of different applications meant to be employed by businesspeople around the world to increase productivity, but most or all of the features the Ipad has are already present in technology that has been around for a while. The Ipad does not really offer anything new to businesses other than its look.

  3. Personally I don’t think the iPad is something that is either going to make or break business technology. Today there are always so many different types of technologies in business and the iPad does have a lot to offer, but not really much more than a regular laptop does. I do understand that it is smaller and does offer a lot for business, but I still don’t think its something that will make or break business technology. I am interested in how it will turn out though.
